Urbanization and the increasing migration to cities are intensifying challenges such as congestion, pollution, and noise, which deteriorate the quality of urban life. As younger generations embrace shared services, as evidenced by the success of Uber and Airbnb, shared mobility systems have the potential to disrupt urban transport. European cities are already prioritizing shared mobility and restricting private vehicles in city centers. Audi currently lacks a comprehensive solution for seamless door-to-door transit in these future cities. This project explores a dual-mode mobility concept for Audi, offering premium accessibility. A mobile hub facilitates travel on main roads, while last-mile EVs provide access to car-restricted areas, enhancing the user experience across the urban landscape.
This project was undertaken as part of my master’s thesis within Audi’s design department in Ingolstadt, Germany.
